To Do Tuesdays AND
Tot Talk Tuesdays {5}

I know, can you believe it? TWO Tuesday “group activities” in one post. I’m a new participant in the To Do Tuesdays with Lisa from Crazy Adventures in Parenting.

My Introduction to the meme list: Hello, my name is 2Shaye, and I'm a list-a-holic. I love making lists. Long lists. I feel good about checking items off. My husband and I share lists through Google docs weekly to help us remember what we’re supposed to do. What can I say, I need a little accountability. I’m a little neurotic about my lists, too. Like, sometimes I go back into my list and write in something that I failed to originally include that I already did by accident--JUST so that I can cross it off. It makes me look accomplished and even busier than I already am (which means that even if the dishes aren’t washed and no one has clean underwear, I still did stuff). And DUDE, don’t you EVER erase ANYthing off one of my old lists. Everything must remain fully intact and readable at the end of the year week so that I REMEMBER how proficient I was each week.

So…needless to say, I’m totally onboard with Lisa. Here goes:

Find B’s new address (I don’t know what special place I wrote it!)
Call C back to set up a meeting (1 hour)
Call picture studio about shipping portraits
Call new doctor’s office in RC
Call oral surgeon
Email S regarding group meeting
Contact T regarding conference speaking engagement
Move all “to sell and to donate” items to the garage
Move all baby clothes to backroom closet for sorting at a later date
Move CRAYOLA stuff to basement (there’s some history here)
Sort through two more boxes (mega bonus points if you do more)
Send photos to mom for history (where DID this thing come from?)
Select recipe for guest blog post (Thank you, Karen, for inviting me!)
Fill out HS curriculum paperwork (Due August 1st)
At least START on birthday plans (two late August birthdays)
Look up Farmer’s Market for produce order
Wash kids sheets (Is a month really too long to go between washings?)
Move diaper table to garage (you know you’ll never use that thing when you have a bed that works just as well)
Get lost in bloggyland…daily, if you’re lucky! HA!

I’m also a continuing participant in Tot Talk Tuesdays started by Niecey of The Monkeys and Me. As always, there were some wonderful quotes this week—things that had us laughing out loud. I’ll leave you with one for now. I’m still going through boxes of junk from our storage and I found an old camera this week (the film type). I popped some new batteries into it and handed it off to the kids to play with (w/o film). BOY did they have the FUNNEST DAY EVER flashing that thing all over the house—setting up pretty displays and getting each other to pose. It was seriously the most enjoyable “inside” day we’ve had in a while. Well, I noticed at one point that my daughter flashed quite close to me while I was turned away. So I finally looked to see what she was “shooting” and the camera was aimed right at my behind.

5-year-old explains: I’ve taken pictures of everyone’s bottoms!

Me (laughing):
Um, okay.

5-year-old: Even my own.

Me: Really? How’d you do that?

5-year-old: Like this (demonstrates).

Oh man. WHEN do they grow out of the fascinated-with-bottoms phase?

Let's plan a road trip to get our kids together because it was just recently that Laila (6yr old) took a picture of Giana's (2yr old) bottom. HAHAHAHA

Great list.
It's so nice to know that I'm not the only neurotic list maker out there. My hubby thinks I need an intervention. He just doesn't understand.

Shaye, I'm a big list maker too! I wish I was better at getting everything done though :) After reading your list, I have some new ideas for mine. Thanks! Kids seem to never end with their "bottom fascination". Even my husband encourages that "humor". He likes to make them laugh with those jokes.

Yes! We are coming through Rapid City! How cool is that? I actually know someone who lives there :) Didn't realize that's where y'all were.

Love the TTT example above ;) Mine haven't hit the "bottom stage" yet. Good to know I have that to look forward to!

I TOTALLY get the list thing! I don't see anything wrong with adding the things you have already completed onto the list! It certainly does add to the sense of accomplishment at the end of the day! =)

Love the Tuesday-To-Do list! How did you get your little check boxes on there?

Bottoms and the noises they make...when WILL that get old for them? Seriously! :)

Man, Kaya has a digital camera and she fills up her card with pics of people's bottoms. She especially loves to capture someone when they're bending over. I sure do hope they grow out of it soon! I hate to think of people looking through all these pics of me one day after I've died. They'd all have a great laugh at my behind. So undignified. hehe

Love, love the list - welcome to the club! Good luck with everything. :)

boys never, ever grow out of their fascination with bottoms :).

I like your list idea. I often look back on my week and wonder what the heck I did with all my time. At least this way I can see what I've done (and not done... reference your comment about no one has clean underwear).

You know you take after me just perfectly ... even down to the adding the things you forgot to put down that you've brilliantly accomplished ...

I LOVE the feeling of a good list and crossing it off each time. Are we really supposed to grow up and not be entertained by a bottom? Oops!

ha! Five year olds grow out of the fastinated-with-bottoms..around age 6..whereas they become fastinated with boobs...*sigh*
Thanks for stopping by my blog Shaye!

I really feel ya on the list thing. I have been known as the "List Lady" at my house for years. And I'm really okay with that. I feel a HUGE sense of gratification when all the items on the list are checked off... for a few peaceful moments... then I start another list!!!!

Ya gonna do Sunday Citar? Mine is ready. ♥

How did you do on your list this week??? Are you ready to do another, will be up shortly! I majorly failed this week, since my only item on the list was BlogHer. Sorta feel I jinxed myself or something. Y'know? ;)

@ Lisa~ LOL! I got a lot done, but I also will have to repeat a portion of my list. I also completely forgot to go back in and check off what I finished. AIAIAI! I'll get the hang of it...like Twitter.

Ah, so much to learn, so little time.
