NO more work!

If this isn't a sign that I've been at the computer too much the last week, then I don't know what is. My darling daughter drew this today and delivered it to me, carefully folded inside an envelope. With a scowl on her face she stood by waiting for me to open it and said, "No more working, Mommy!" She usually writes lots of words on her drawings and even makes them extremely detailed, but this time she just wrote, "No" and an arrow pointing toward what I'm working on.

You KNOW it's my desk because it's messy. Very. And there appears to be some sort of, uh, disaster on the floor next to me. The disaster is probably a spilled drink or very possibly a pile of unfolded laundry. My family has begun dressing out my laundry baskets this week (I hope those were CLEAN clothes). Yep, that's me alright. She captured it perfectly! I was pretty much glued to my computer for the final two weeks. After enduring a collapse of my computer for 2 weeks, I just barely finished the last of three semester-long projects and can finally breathe a huge sigh of relief.

In case some of you were thinking Brayla drew this second picture, she didn't. It's real, I promise. Hi Brighton! :waves:

By the way, this is our ancient desktop computer that's been having such terrible troubles the last few months. So when my laptop died, it wasn't much help. But as you can see in the picture, Google chat still works. Thank goodness, right?!

Don't you just love children. They ALWAYS tell the truth. At least it was at home and the teacher didn't see it first... :) I'm so glad you can relax now. Have a Merry Christmas!

Mimi~ Yes, I'm often in trouble!

Shaye~ That's true! The teacher often sees these things, first. I had a talk with a parent who was freaking out because her son told me (the teacher) something along the lines that his father was on drugs. Being that I knew the family well, I knew he was a little confused. But she was understandably upset and wanted to be sure I knew they weren't doing drugs. I basically explained that if I believed even half of what my students said, all of my parents would be in disasterous trouble. I'll give YOU the benefit of doubt if you give ME the benefit of doubt. LOL
