It's freezing down at the Southern part of Nebraska too!!! it's 0 degrees!! I just gased up the Escape and was only outside for a few minutes...My hands almost turned to popsicles....should have grabbed the gloves that were in the passenger seat! You know moms always tell their kids...hats, coats, gloves...you would think this mom would follow instructions!!
Brittany~ I did, too. It's funny when you discover that your manual thermometer (you know, the kind with the arrow that moves around) really can show negative temps.
Shay~ How was Arizona??? We went to Texas and it hit 84 DEGREES! They set a record in Dallas the day after Christmas. We were sweating up a storm! I actually had to go buy some short-sleeved shirts.
Sheri~ It was pretty crazy there for a while. I'm sure we're not in the clear, yet. And I am the QUEEN of not dressing warmly enough. I don't know WHY I do that!
Zie Zie~ DUDE, no way, shut UP! LOL~just kiddin'. I know what you mean. When we lived in Texas and it even dipped into the 50s, everyone freaked out. We all stayed in doors and lit a fire. But it gets up to the 50s here and everyone's so excited--fluttering about--getting ready to plant their gardens. It's so hilarious!
I’m a joyful woman who wears many hats, including: wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter, cousin, friend, teacher, librarian, and follower of Christ. I’m also an ex-public school teacher turned SAHM turned unschooling mom. Our little midwestern family is tremendously grateful for the liberties we have to home school, homebirth, breastfeed, co-sleep, baby wear, non-circ, delay or not vaccinate, and utilize non-punitive, grace-based discipline. We work hard to keep up with the ins and outs of healthy living. It was painful, but we took the red pill and still continue to find new truths daily. I teach just a few short-courses for the local college each year, read and write book reviews and blog on the side. And if you must know, I have an undergrad in music (BA), a masters in library science (MLS), and a masters in educational technology (MEd).
