I've been terrible about blogging lately, but I wanted to pop on long enough to wish my darling husband a happy birthday. This man is my rock and I am so blessed that God brought him into my life. He's an amazing father, friend, and husband. As cheezy as this may be, I'm going to share just one of many songs that come to mind when I think of him.
Have a beautiful day, y'all! And happy 37th, hon! I lubloo longer and longer...
God Bless The Broken Road
Selah
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

Happy Birthday Shaye's husband. I'm sure your three precious children will give you the best day ever!
Well, I was gonna do a long blog about Brandon Lee, complete with baby pictures and stories and all that, but you beat me to it. With the crazy week we've had (boomerbabybliss-bfs.blogspot.com)I haven't called yet.
But I would like to state publicly and for the record that Lee is one special man. He took on my daughter and has loved her through and through. He is patient, very witty with the great comebacks, and a terrific daddy. He makes a great cup of coffee, has super taste in movies (e.g., "Serenity"), and plays a mean game of Monopoly.
Besides all of that, I have a strong feeling that his students are really growing because of his classroom antics ...is that the right word, Professor? "Interesting classroom teaching methods" is what I'm getting at....and there again, I ended in a proposition.
I do hope you have had a relaxing birthday, Lee. We love you, admire you, and wish only the best for you and your dear family.
I hope you have the best of days.
Thirty Seven (37 years, only three more to the big 40.
It's all down hill from there so make the most of the time. Enjoy your little ones and love deeply.
Who's Terry? And didn't he leave a happy thought for ya!? :-)
