Yep. Been here for four days, but this is the first time I've had a minute to post. So far we've been to my brother's graduation, my other brother's home for a wonderful mother's day celebration, to some fun second hand stores, to see some of my old high school buds (hi
Matt and
Shelly!), and tomorrow we're off to have grandchildren pictures taken (with all 6 grandchildren) for my parents.
It's horrifically hot here (it hit at least 100 on our car thermometer last week) and the humidity is unbelievable. Just when I think I miss
Texas, there's nothing like a brief visit during the early summer months to remind me of the miserable weather that I DON'T miss. We'll be back on the road in two more days--off to see more family and to Lee's doctoral graduation. Woohoo! Can't wait to catch up on all of your blog posts when we get home. I have like 300 of your posts in my google reader already. WOW! You all have been BUSY!

Eeeew! 100 degrees? I'm glad I'm here wearing a sweater. :)
Have a great trip...see you when you get back!
Ugh, 100 degrees? Texas can have it. Hurry up and get back up here where it is still 70 degrees!! ;) Hope you have safe travels on the way home, and kiss the kids for us!
Welcome to Texas, my dear friend! Ahh, 100 degrees. Only a true Texan can really appreciate the scorching heat! Wish life wasn't so busy and we could catch up! Atleast I can rest easy tonight knowing that my Shaye is in the same state! :)
Yep I have to admit that winter sucks in Minnesota, but Spring, Summer and Fall are glorious. I hate HOT weather. Enjoy your sticky skin, sweaty hair and red cheeks. Have fun with fam:)
And don't forget (says your Texan mama) that it froze in Nebraska this week, maybe ruining your garden... You can always come back and eat my tomatoes cause it ain't freeing here! :-)
Hope you all are having a wonderful trip!
P.S.: You were the winner of the Homeschool Princess monthly drawing!!! E-mail me when you get a chance so we can get the t-shirt ordered and sent to you!
Never been to Texas, but I've always wanted to go...hot dog, though...sounds HOT!

Shouldn't that sign say, "Drive 100 mph and tail gate anyone going slower until they pull over to the side. That's the Texas way."?
Hee hee. I should know lived here pretty much all my life.
