(o)(o) Boobaphobia

You know, I had a great post put together here with all sorts of links to different news articles in the media regarding "boobaphobia" during WBW and NBM. But this article, made mostly of pictures, explains this phenomenon so much better than the hundreds and thousands of words I've read elsewhere. Click the title below:

*** Breastfeeding is Offensive ***

P.S. Tomorrow is our 14th Anniversary!!! YEEHAAAAAAW!

  1. 1) You are not helping my baby crazies with pictures like that milk-induced coma chubby cheeks at the end. How does one back away from smooching that long enough to take a picture???

    2) It took me a minute to get the parentheses and Os thing. And now I'm going to be snickering all afternoon.

    3) Happy anniversary! Wishing you many more wonderful years!

  2. I love it. I completely agree. In fact, I think it's because of all the boobs in the media that people are so offended by breastfeeding. The magazines keep just further establishing boobs as a sex thing, so when they see a baby suck on one they get uncomfortable, because there is such an association there. It's such a sad loss for our culture.

  3. Oh, and happy anniversary! I hope you get to do something special to celebrate (ok, I kept rewording it because it kept sounding suggestive...I think I got it, almost, ish).

I just can't understand how people can be offended by breastfeeding. It is natural and beautiful!

  8. Happy Anniversary! I hope you enjoy your special day:)

That was a great way to enlighten those cringing breastfeeding opponents. They need to get a grip and realize it is only about feeding our children.
